Selective Growth Hormone Secretagogue
1. Identity and Classification
Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide and a potent, selective agonist of the ghrelin/growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHS-R).
It is widely recognized in clinical research as one of the cleanest and most versatile GH secretagogues. Unlike earlier generations, Ipamorelin is designed to stimulate growth hormone release without significantly impacting other pituitary hormones.
2. Mechanism of Action
Ipamorelin mimics the action of ghrelin and acts on the pituitary gland and hypothalamus to initiate a Growth Hormone (GH) pulse:
